Inaugural 2026 Dan Jewell Workers’ Compensation Trial Institute

The Nebraska State Bar Foundation is hosting the inaugural 2026 Dan Jewell Workers’ Compensation Trial Institute on June 19, 2026 at the Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court, 1010 Lincoln Mall, Suite 100, Lincoln, NE.*

Named after the late attorney Dan Jewell, the program aims to help Nebraska lawyers with limited workers’ compensation experience enhance their litigation and advocacy skills.

NWCC 1010 Lincoln Mall Judges, Clerk, and Staff to Relocate

The Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court is pleased to announce its relocation this summer from 1 Landmark Centre at 1010 Lincoln Mall, in Lincoln, Nebraska to its new location a few blocks away at Center on N at 1221 N Street. We will provide further updates about the move and any temporary service adjustments for scheduled hearings or trials as they become available. Rules of Procedure, Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court

The Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court’s revised Rules of Procedure are now available (https://www.newcc.gov/resources/court-forms-and-publications/rules-of-procedure).

Amendments to Rules 9, 10, 12, 14, 21, 26, 32, 47 and Addendum 2 were adopted at a public meeting on December 30, 2025. A revised Schedule of Fees for Medical Services was also adopted. 

  • Amendments to non-adjudicatory Rules 32, 47, and Addendum 2 are effective December 30, 2025. Amendments to non-adjudicatory Rule 26 and the Schedule of Fees for Medical Services are effective January 1, 2026.
  • Amendments to adjudicatory Rules 9, 10, 12, 14, and 21 became effective following review and approval by the Nebraska Supreme Court on February 11, 2026.

These schedules are effective January 1, 2026.

NEWS RELEASE: Change in mileage reimbursement rate

Effective January 1, 2026, the mileage rate will become 72.5 cents per mile for travel to seek medical treatment or while participating in an approved vocational rehabilitation plan. See related news release (https://www.newcc.gov/home/court-news/2025-06-news).

Recently Adopted Rule Amendments
