NEWS RELEASE: Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Burial Benefit To Increase
The burial benefit under the Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Act will increase to $11,900.00 effective July 1, 2025. This benefit applies upon the death of an employee, resulting through personal injuries as defined in Neb. Rev. Stat. § 48-151. Select this link to read the news release.

Rules of Procedure, Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court
The Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court’s revised Rules of Procedure are now available (https://www.newcc.gov/resources/court-forms-and-publications/rules-of-procedure).
Amendments to Rules 2, 3, 5, 14, 26, 35, 47, 48 and Addenda 2 and 3 were adopted at a public meeting on December 30, 2024. A revised Schedule of Fees for Medical Services was also adopted. Amendments to non-adjudicatory Rules 26, 35, 47, and 48 became effective December 30, 2024. Amendments to adjudicatory Rules 2, 3, 5, and 14 became effective following review and approval by the Nebraska Supreme Court on January 29, 2025. NEWS RELEASE: Change in mileage reimbursement rate

Nebraska Supreme Court adopts amendments to Nebraska Court Rules of Discovery in Civil Cases
On November 13, 2024, the Nebraska Supreme Court adopted rule amendments to Neb. Ct. R. Disc. § 6-326 through § 6-337 governing discovery. The adopted amendments are effective January 1, 2025 for all Nebraska trial courts, including the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Court.
